Years a go you heard about the groom asking the dad for his daughter's hand in marriage.  Today we don't hear much of that.  

A few weeks ago I heard about a woman who lost her husband in one of the twin towers on 911.  She never thought she'd find love again.  Years later she met a wonderful man.  According to her if she didn't know he was amazing she did after her did this...He went and asked the father of the man who died if he could marry and raise his son's children.  I get goose pumps just thinking about that.  Talk about a special man!  

Of course when he came and popped the questions to marry him the woman she said yes!

There are many families who are very close and there when the proposal is made. This also makes me think that it would be so different and wonderful to have an engagement session and have your parents share the moment with you!  It's like a mini family session.  

This wonderful couple got engaged at Disneyland with all her family there.  They all knew Ryan was going to pop the question but Molly didn't.  While they were on Magic Mountain he proposed!  Right at that time the fireworks went off!  Talk about timing!  Molly was so happy to be able to share this special moment with her familly.  Next week we will post some of their images and video.  We weren't there at Disney but recently photographed their engagement session.

Whether you have your parents there or not an engagement session is a really great time to get to know your wedding photographers.
